No two outdoor spaces are the same size, so Wind-Block systems are built to order. You choose the width of each unit, up to 78 inches, plus the glass and the post finish. The system is made to fit the space, not the other way around.
Sizes and heights
The variable-height StopBreeze unit stands about 43 inches tall with the glass down and about 72 inches with it up. A single unit can close a gap on a small balcony. A run of units can line a restaurant terrace or the edge of a long deck. Where a space never needs to change height, fixed glass windbreaks go up to 72 inches.
Glass and finishes
Glass options include clear tempered, low-iron, tinted and frosted glass. Posts come in anodized aluminum as standard and can be powder coated in a custom color to match existing railings or trim.
Where people use them
We see these systems on rooftop bars and lounges, around pool cabanas, on restaurant patios, at private homes and on hotel and resort terraces. The common thread is a space with a view worth keeping and wind that drives people inside.
What you keep
Glass blocks the wind without blocking the view or the light. When the weather is calm, the upper panel drops and the space feels open again. The units are built for outdoor use and need little more than cleaning the glass.
Start with your measurements
Send us the length of the area you want to protect, a few photos and a note on how windy it gets. We will suggest a layout and connect you with an installer near you. Contact Wind-Block or call 877-235-3552.
Retractable Glass Railings Built to Your Layout
Custom sizing is what lets retractable glass railings work on odd-shaped decks and terraces. Each unit can act as a retractable wind barrier on its own, so you can protect one windy side or the whole perimeter.
Raised together, they form a clear retractable wind break. See the specs for StopBreeze Variable Height Glass Railings, or the fixed-height glass railing options for spaces that never need to change height.
